A man allegedly hacked his younger brother to death in Chirayinkeezhu in an incident that occurred late Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Ratheesh, 31, of Kuzhiyam colony in Perunguzhi. The incident occurred around 9.30 p.m. Ratheesh’s elder brother, Mahesh, 42, has been arrested in the case.
According to the police, a verbal altercation escalated while the duo were consuming alcohol, leading to a violent confrontation. Ratheesh sustained a deep cut on his neck during the clash. Despite being rushed to the Chirayinkeezhu Taluk Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
