The fourth graduation day of the SBRR Mahajana First Grade College was held on Saturday, where 625 students received their certificates on completion of their courses.
This included 288 students who completed their graduation, and 337 students who completed their master’s courses during the academic year 2023-24. Of the 288 graduates, 116 were male and 172 were female, while among the postgraduate students, 173 were male and 164 were female.
M.A. Shekar, former Vice-Chancellor, Adi Chunchanagari University, who addressed the graduating students, said that it was imperative for them to acquire new skills for economic and career growth. He also impressed upon the need for the students to develop compassion and humaneness.
Mr. Shekar said that graduates and postgraduates from diverse disciplines play a vital and interconnected role in technological development and societal health, and pointed out that there were different opportunities for every stream in higher education.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore N.K. Lokanath said that ndia was on the threshold of social, technological, and economic transformation, and underlined the role of graduating students in shaping the nation’s future.
Mr. Lokanath said that whatever path one chooses, be it arts, science or commerce, or pursue entrepreneurship, it has to be done with a sense of responsibility and commitment to the larger good of the society.
He said that the achievement of the students was the culmination of years of hard work and dedication besides the vision and support of their parents, teachers, and the institution.
T. Muralidhar Bhagavat and T. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, president and secretary of Mahajana Education Society, C.K. Renukarya, director of Pooja Bhagavat PG Centre, B.R. Jayakumari, principal of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, and others were present.
