The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State Secretary and Pulsus Group chairman Gedela Srinubabu on Sunday (July 27, 2025) said TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was giving top priority to the leaders of north Andhra to get coveted posts with national prominence.
In a press release, he said that elevation of former Union Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju as Goa Governor and Srikakulam MP K. Rammohan Naidu as the Union Minister for Civil Aviation indicated the party had extended its wholehearted support to leaders of backward districts to be in top positions. He said local party leader Kalisetti Appala Naidu could become MP of Vizianagaram with the support of the TDP high command.
âThe Telugu Desam Party accords special priority for the development of north Andhra region too. Establishment of an international airport at Bhogapuram is a clear indication of its priority for the region. The airport will spur development of the region including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam cities. The party will get more political strength in the region whenever local body elections are held in the State,â Mr. Srinubabu.
