Senior citizen killed after being hit by a train while crossing the railway track at Guindy railway station

A 60-year-old person was killed when he crossed the railway track at Guindy railway station on Sunday. The Mambalam Government Railway Police (GRP) has filed a case and are investigating. 

Police said M. Srinivasan, was a resident of Broadway, working in a restaurant in Guindy. On Sunday, Srinivasan got down from the train at Guindy railway station and crossed the track without seeing a train coming in the direction towards Tambaram and was hit by the speeding train. He died on the spot. A team from Mambalam GRP sent the body to Government Royapettah hospital for postmortem.
