The latest intense spell of southwest monsoon rainfall appear to be subsiding across Kerala with forecasts predicting drier days in most districts starting Tuesday (July 29, 2025).

Isolated heavy rainfall is expected only in a few northern districts of the State, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts.

The heavy rainfall that had lashed Kerala over the past several days in the latest spell had caused landslips in Idukki district’s Munnar over the weekend, killing one man.
