Midhilesh Academy wins big at Taekwondo Championship 2025

As many as 20 athletes from the city-based Midhilesh Taekwondo Academy won laurels at the 5th Sub Junior Taekwondo Championship 2025 held at Yelamanchili for boys and girls below 11 years, on July 27.

The event was organised by Anakapalli Youth Taekwondo Association and was promoted by the Taekwondo Association of Andhra Pradesh, under the aegis of India Taekwondo.

As many as 108 players from different mandals, clubs and academies across Visakhapatnam participated. Among them 20 players — 11 boys and 9 girls from the Midhilesh Taekwondo Academy’s Muralinagar, Nausena Baugh, and Coast Guard branch bagged 12 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 1 bronze medal in Kyorugi. The academy also won a gold in the Individual Poomsae (prearranged sequences of Taekwondo techniques practiced individually), and 1 silver in Group Poomsae.

The academy also also clinched 1st place in the Overall Championship.

Midhilesh Taekwondo Academy, Founder and coach Midhilesh Pallam attributed the result to the dedication and hard work of the budding champions.
