The BJP Yuva Morcha has demanded that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G. Parameshwara tender their resignation, owning moral responsibility, with respect to the Mumbai police detecting a drugs manufacturing unit in the Chief Minister’s home district of Mysuru.

Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru on Tuesday, BJP Yuva Morcha State president and MLA Dhiraj Muniraju said the morcha will stage a protest in Mysuru on Wednesday against the district administration for the alleged failure to crack down on the unit.

He urged the government to act sternly against the drugs network and also demanded action against those officials, police and politicians who are backing the drugs network.

Accusing the Congress government of failing to act against the drug network, Mr. Muniraju wondered how could the State government not know about the operation of the drug manufacturing unit in Mysuru when Mumbai police could identify it.

The morcha will take up a campaign against drugs besides launching a Statewide protest against the Congress government for alleged failure to act sternly against the menace, he said.
