A 43-year-old woman living in the fifth floor of an apartment complex was found dead in Himayatnagar on Saturday morning (August 2, 2025). Her body was recovered in the ground floor.
The deceased, identified as Pooja Jain, was a mother of two. Police said she had previously received treatment for psychological distress.
According to Narayanguda Inspector U. Chandra Shekar, three handwritten notes were found at her residence- one addressed to her son, another to her daughter, and a third detailing Jain religious customs.“These are not suicide notes,” the inspector clarified.
Preliminary investigations suggest that though Pooja lived with her husband and children, she remained emotionally distant and spent much of her time in solitude, engaging in spiritual practices.
The incident occurred between 11.30 and 11.45 a.m. when her husband was away at work. Following autopsy, the body was handed over to the family for final rites on Sunday.
The Narayanguda police registered a case and are investigating to determine the circumstances that led to her death.
