Two persons from Andhra Pradesh died in a road accident when the car they were travelling rammed into a stationary tipper lorry near Thiruthani on Monday.
According to police sources, one Humayun, 70, of Bikillari, Andhra Pradesh, was critically ill and hence his family decided to admit him in a hospital in Chennai city. They brought him in a car from Andhra Pradesh. His brother Shajahan, 50 and two others also travelled in the car which was proceeding towards Chennai. At 6 am, in Arcot Kuppam near Tiruthani, the car crashed into a stationary tipper lorry parked on the road side. In the impact, the car was completely mangled
Humayun, 70, died on the spot while Shajahan and another who were critically injured were admitted in the Government Hospital, Thiruthani. Subsequently Shajahan succumbed to injuries in the hospital. Kanakammachatram Police registered a case and investigated.
