Tribal farmer dies as bike goes up in flames in Telangana

A 35-year-old tribal farmer was charred to death after the bike he was riding went up in flames at Vennelabailu village in Gundala mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Parsika Raju of Vennelabailu, was travelling on his motorcycle to his agricultural field when the bike came in contact with a dangling high-tension electricity wire near his farmland.

His bike caught fire and he died on the spot after being engulfed in flames, sources added.

He is survived by his wife and two children.

The bike was completely gutted under the impact of the blaze.

The Gundala police registered a case and are investigating.
