Leopard scare continues to haunt the denizens of Balaji Nagar in Tirumala. The inhabitants of the area on Tuesday (August 05) woke up to the news of sighting of a leopard in the precincts of the Gagamma temple.
The anxiety among locals intensified as a video clip showing the leopard preying on a cat within the temple grounds went viral on social media platforms.
The area which houses displaced owners and tenants who had given away their properties to TTD for the implementation of master plan in the past, is located on the fringes of the town abutting the forests and is frequented by wild animals. The distressed residents promptly notified forest officials, who in turn alerted their personnel.
