PG medical student found dead at her house in T.P. Chatram

A 26-year-old postgraduate medical student was found dead under unnatural circumstances at a rented house in TP Chatram on Tuesday morning.

The victim has been identified as R Dhivya, 26 of Tiruvallur district. She completed her MBBS at Government Medical College, Vellore and had joined PG in Kilpauk Medical College, police said. She stayed alone at a rented house in TP Chatram.

On Tuesday at 8:30 am when she did not turn up at the hospital for her duty, her friends tried to call her mobile. When there was no response from her side to the calls, her friends went to her house and knocked on the door. As there was no response, they alerted the police who broke open the door and found Dhivya dead inside. Her body was taken to the Government Medical College Hospital in Kilpauk for a postmortem.

The TP Chatram police registered a case and an investigation is on.
