₹45 crore sanctioned for development of 286 government schools in Alluri Sitarama Raju district

The government has sanctioned ₹45.02 crore for development of government schools in Alluri Sitarama Raju district. A statement issued to this effect said the decision was part of the efforts being made by Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Nara Lokesh to usher in transformative reforms in the education sector. A G.O. (No. 264) was issued recently allocating the sum, which would be utilised to build additional classrooms in 286 schools that currently have no building or require complete new structures and to take up major and minor repairs in 85 schools. The Minister has instructed officials to initiate the works immediately.
