Night-time traffic restrictions will be enforced from August 11 to 17, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., in view of the ongoing flyover construction at Enchakkal. The City Police have announced traffic regulations that will remain in effect during the period.
Vehicles headed from Kovalam to Kazhakuttom should take the route via Thiruvallam – Ambalathara – Attakulangara – Statue – VJT – Pattoor – Chakka to reach the bypass road. Those headed in the opposite direction will have to proceed via the Chakka service road – Pettah – Pattom – Asan Square – Palayam – Statue – Attakulangara – Manacaud – Thiruvallam.
Vehicles going from Killippalam – Power House Road to Kazhakkuttom via Enchakkal should go through Choorakattupalayam, Thampanoor, Panavila, Asan Square, Pattoor and Chakka, or via Sreekanteswaram, Uppidamoodu, Pettah and Chackai to reach the bypass road.
Light motor vehicles headed to the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport from Kovalam side should take the Kumarichantha – Paruthikuzhy service road, then turn towards Kallumoodu and proceed via the Valiyathura – Shangumugham Road.
Motorists headed towards Chakkal from Attakulangara will have to proceed via Vazhappally, Sreekanteswaram, Uppidamoodu, Nalumukku, Pettah and Chakka.
