A team of doctors from Guru Nanak Hospital in Bidar, in Karnataka, conducted free surgery on an elderly patient who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Oncologists led by Vipin Goyal from Hyderabad, in Telangana, performed the surgery on August 11.
The doctor said that the hospital would perform cancer surgery without a fee for patients detected with cancer during camps organised by the Rotary Club in various primary health centres in Bidar district.
