An unidentified man, aged around 30 years, was charred to death in a school bus parked at BMBR layout in Banaswadi on Tuesday (August 12, 2025).

Passers-by noticed the fire in the bus and alerted the fire control room. The fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and put out the fire before recovering the body.

The police said that the man was charred to death while sleeping. They found a bed and a pillow and a few smoked beedis around the body. They have taken up a case of suspicious death and shifted the body for post-mortem.
