Youth held for sexually harassing young woman on bus

Velachery Police arrested a 27-year-old youth for stalking and sexually harassing a 23-year-old woman while she was travelling in a bus daily.

According to police, the woman is 23-year-old working at a private firm. She alleged that a stranger was following her daily while she was commuting in the bus and he also repeatedly indulged in sexually harassment during travel. As he repeated it on Friday evening also, she called police control room 100 and on receipt the call, Velachery Police nabbed him and interrogated him.

Police arrested the youth who has been identified as Raja, 27 of East Tambaram on charges of sexually harassing the woman. Later he was remanded to judicial custody.
