Kurian Peter consecrated as Bishop of CSI’s Cochin Diocese

Kurian Peter was consecrated as the Bishop of the Cochin Diocese of the Church of South India (CSI) at a function held on Friday at the Immanuel CSI Cathedral here.

CSI moderator K. Reuben Mark was the chief celebrant at the function. CSI general secretary C. Fernandas Rathina Raja, treasurer B. Vimal Sukumar, other bishops, officers of the diocese, presbyters, evangelists, Synod directors, and members of the congregation were present.

Born on December 5, 1971, Bishop Kurian had his early education at Sacred Heart High School and Sacred Heart College, Thevara. He obtained BA in Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University, after which he completed his Bachelor of Divinity at Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur. He earned Master of Theology in Pastoral Care from Trinity College, Divinity School, Melbourne, University of Divinity.
