Educational institutes in Visakhapatnam mark Independence Day with patriotic fervour

The 79th Independence Day celebrations were organised by various educational institutions across the district including Andhra University, Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy, IIM-Visakhapatnam, GITAM deemed to be University, and Dr Lankapalli Bullayya College.

While hoisting the national flag, AU vice chancellor Prof. Raja Sekhar recalled the services of key freedom fighters and key academicians of the university on the occasion. He urged the students to adopt certain principles followed by them for better understanding of a bright career.

G. Madhukumar, secretary and correspondent of Dr Lankapalli Bullayya College advised students to maintain their physical fitness, work hard in their chosen field, and have an open mind on various issues, continue to focus on important aspects and never become a slave to necessary habits.
