CII office-bearers meet Minister, discuss development of city

Office-bearers of Confederation of Indian Industry Madurai Zone on Sunday met Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration P. Moorthy and held discussions regarding development of Madurai.

According to the press release, Chairman of CII Madurai Zone Ashwin Desai, Vice Chairman Rajiv Jeyabalan, former Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu Hari Thiagarajan and members of Pudhu Madur.ai attended the meeting. During the meeting, the Minister spoke about Madurai’s growth potential. He expressed support for collaborative efforts and implementing proposed initiatives.

A key highlight of the meeting was the Minister’s proposal to launch a city-wide cleanliness drive in partnership with the industry associations envisioned towards creating a cleaner and more vibrant Madurai. It reflects the strong public-private commitment to the city’s holistic development, the press release said.
