Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the tragic death of six youths who were electrocuted during a Sri Krishna Janmashtami procession at Gokula Nagar in Ramanthapur, Hyderabad.
In a condolence message issued on Monday (August 18, 2025), Mr. Jagan described the incident as “deeply painful and extremely tragic,” particularly as it occurred during a festive occasion. He said he was profoundly disturbed by the loss of young lives owing to electrocution and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and urged officials to take stringent safety measures to ensure such accidents do not recur in the future.
