School in Delhi’s Dwarka receives bomb threat e-mail; premises evacuated

Maxfort School in Delhi’s Dwarka was evacuated on Friday (August 22, 2025) morning after it received a bomb threat via e-mail, officials said.

The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received a call about the threat at 7.05 a.m. Police teams, bomb disposal squads and fire tenders are conducting searches inside the school in Dwarka’s Sector 7.

“The building has been evacuated and thorough checking is underway to ensure the safety of the students,” an official said.

Earlier, at least five schools in Delhi received bomb threats over email on Thursday (August 21, 2025), prompting police and other emergency agencies to launch a search operation.

Prior to that, around 50 schools had received similar threats on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) and at least 30 schools had received such threats on Monday (August 18, 2025).
