Two people are missing after heavy rains and flash floods hit Tharali in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in the intervening night of Friday (August 22, 2025) and Saturday (August 23, 2025). Several homes have also been washed away.
A 20-year-old woman was reportedly buried under the debris in Sagwara village after rain Friday (August 22, 2025) night, Chamoli district administration said.
The other person was missing from the Chepdon market area.
