Jana Sena Party (JSP) president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan’s three-day tour of Visakhapatnam starting August 28 has been named as `Senatho Senani.’
Mr. Pawan Kalyan will be focussing on the party affairs completely for the three days, holding interactions and meeting leaders ranging from MP to an activist, and would address a public meeting on the final day at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium.
This is the first time that Mr. Pawan Kalyan will be focussing completely on party affairs after formation of the alliance government in the State, in which JSP is also a partner.
Disclosing the details of Mr. Pawan Kalyan’s visit to the media here after inspecting the municipal stadium on Sunday, party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) chairman and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said the party chief would have meetings with the leaders and cadre, and would guide them on various issues such as taking the party programmes to the people, upholding the spirit of coalition and future programmes of the JSP.
On the first day, Mr. Pawan Kalyan would meet the MPs, MLAs and MLCs at the YMCA Hall on the Beach Road and give directions to them on strengthening the party, resolving people’s problems, and other issues. He would also discuss the issues to be raised in the Parliament and the Legislative Assembly.
In the evening, he would hold a meeting with 350-odd leaders of the party’s State Committee, delving on various issues.
On the second day, the JSP chief would meet select party activists from various Assembly constituencies. They included those who were with the party since its inception, those who contested in the local body elections, youngsters, intellectuals. Mr. Pawan Kalyan would elicit their views on various political issues, Mr. Manohar said.
On the final day, the party State-level active cadre meeting would be held at the Indira Priyadarshini stadium in the morning and a public meeting in the evening.
Mr. Manohar later released a poster of the public meeting in the presence of MLAs Konathala Ramakrishna, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and Ch. Vamsikrishna Yadav, and Visakhapatnam DCCB Chairman Kona Tata Rao and Deputy Mayor D. Govind Reddy.
