New Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) at Manachanallur in Tiruchi district, T. Pazhur in Ariyalur district and Embal in Pudukottai district were inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin through video conference from Chennai on Monday.

The new ITI at Manachanallur has been established on Thirunagar panchayat union elementary school premises while the institute at T. Pazhur has been established on the Government Higher Secondary School premises. The new institute at Embal will function on the government higher secondary school premises. The three new institutes have been established by the Department of Employment and Training.

The new institutes will offer one-year and two-year technical courses on different trades, including industrial robotic digital manufacturing, interior design and decoration, electronic system design and repair, refrigeration and air-conditioner, manufacturing process control and automation.  The ITI at Manachanallur has been established to train 196 trainees. Tiruchi Collector V. Saravanan and Ariyalur Collector P. Rathinasamy participated in the function organised at the respective new institutes on Monday.

The ITIs have been established to enhance the number of skilled workforce to meet the demand of industries and benefit the youth in rural areas.
