Actor Ravi Mohan, who ventured into film production earlier this year, announced on Tuesday (August 26) that he is all set to make his directorial debut with a film starring Yogi Babu. The actor officially announced the project at the grand launch of his production house, Ravi Mohan Studios, in Chennai, an event that was felicitated by many prominent A-listers, including Sivakarthikeyan, Shivarajkumar, Karthi, Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh, SJ Suryah, and Atharvaa Murali among others.

The film featuring Yogi Babu is part of the ten projects that Ravi’s production banner plans to make in the next two years. The lineup also includes his previously announced film with director Karthik Yogi, titled Bro Code.

In a statement, the actor-producer said that his production house is already working with new directions and fresh talents in films, many of which are already in pre-production. “At the same time, we have started working with OTT platforms to provide fiction and non-fiction content,” said Ravi, adding that eight such projects are in development, four in fiction and four in non-fiction, all of which are planned for release in 2026 and 2027.

“Ravi Mohan Studios will always be a supporting hand for films that are made with honesty and good content. Films that deserve to reach the people will always find an open door here,” the actor’s statement added. Further, he also announced that the banner will proivide the stage to ten indie artists in the next two years.

Meanwhile, Ravi, who was last seen in Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s Kadhalikka Neramillai, will be seen next in Karathey Babu, directed by Dada-maker Ganesh K Babu, and alongside Sivakarthikeyan in Sudha Kongara’s next Parasakthi.
