
People rescued in Ramayampet town
The highest rainfall recorded in Telangana from Wednesday (August 27, 2025) morning to late afternoon (3 p.m.) was 418.3 mm in Rajampet of Kamareddy, followed by 266 mm in Kamareddy mandal of the district. The 10 locations which recorded the highest rainfall till late afternoon were spread out in Kamareddy and Medak – the two districts which are under red alert according to India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) special weather report issued on Wednesday afternoonÂ
Over 100 mm rain was recorded in several locations, all of which were in the two districts and Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet.Â
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to take all precautions necessary in Kamareddy and Medak to attend emergencies.
 Meanwhile, Fire Services personnel at Ramayampet attended a distress call and saved 10 members from BC colony in the town. And, State Disaster Response Force Teams in Nizamabad carried out a rescue operation Kalyan Project backwater in Kamareddy.
