The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another key accused in the Vizianagaram ISIS case at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

The accused has been identified as Arif Hussain, aka Abu Talib, a resident of Bihar. He was attempting to flee the country when he was intercepted at the airport, the agency said on Thursday (August 28, 2025).

The agency alleged that Abu Talib had been in contact with co-accused Siraj-ur-Rahman, already arrested in the case earlier along with Syed Sameer. “Siraj and Sameer were found to be in possession of chemicals used for making IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), and were conspiring to carry out terrorist attacks,” it said.

“Arif was involved in the illegal supply of weapons to various parts of the country for jihadi activities,” the agency added.
