The Tamil Nadu government has effected the transfers of nine police officers, including two Inspector General of Police (IGP)-level officers.
As per the order issued by the government, Anisha Husain, IGP, has been transferred from the Special Investigation Division, Crime Branch CID (CB-CID), and posted as IGP, Idol Wing CID, while incumbent S. Lakshmi, IGP, has been posted in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
Sonal Chandra, who was repatriated from Central Deputation, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police/Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) Traffic, North, Greater Chennai City Police.
P. Vijaya Kumar, DIG/JCP, has been moved from Law and Order, and posted as DIG/JCP, Traffic, South, Greater Chennai City Police. Bandi Gangadhar, DIG/JCP, has been transferred from Traffic and posted as DIG/JCP, Law and Order, South.
G. Jawahar, Superintendent of Police (SP), will hold the post of SP, Metro Zone, CB-CID, along with full additional charge of SP, North Zone, CB-CID, Chennai.
R. Sughasini, who has been shifted from Headquarters, Coimbatore, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Traffic, West, Greater Chennai Police. M.P. Dhivya, who has been promoted to the rank of SP from Additional SP, has been posted as DCP, Headquarters, Coimbatore.
B.H. Shajitha has been shifted from the post of Deputy Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, VI Battalion, Madurai, and promoted. On promotion, she has been posted as SP, Coordination & Administration, CB-CID, in the newly created post.
