As part of the Dasara Film Festival 2025, a short film competition was organised, which received 34 entries. Screening of the films was held here on Friday.
Each entry featured a distinct storyline, adding to the diversity of the contest. Shortlisted films will be screened at an INOX theatre, a press note said.
The jury of the contest comprised Narendra Kulagatte, professor, Smt. Indira Gandhi Women’s First Grade College, Shivamogga; Charitha, professor, JSS College of Visual Arts, Mysuru; Gopinath, technician, Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC), University of Mysore; and Anil Kumar, sound engineer, Bengaluru.
The shortlisted films include HimbalisI, Aa Kshana, Adrushta Lakshmi, Marven, Nanna Prapancha, Habbada Hasivu, Kaalantara and Erdrupayi.
