Two bikes used by college students to perform road stunts in Ambattur seized

The Red Hills Traffic Investigation police detained four college students and seized two high-end bikes for rash and negligent driving in a public place on Sunday. The students were detained based on the direction of Avadi Police Commissioner K. Shankar after videos of dangerous bike stunts performed by them in public went viral on social media. 

A senior traffic officer of the Avadi Police Commissioner office said the students were involved in various stunts using two high-end bikes causing danger to other motorists on the Ambattur-Red Hills Radial Road in the first week of July. The Red Hills Traffic Investigation wing police filed a case for rash and negligent driving under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act. . The police, after calling the parents of the four students for counselling, seized the bikes.
