The Andhra Pradesh government will not discontinue the NTR Bharosa pension scheme and every eligible beneficiary will receive the amount, said Minister for Social Welfare Dr. Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy while distributing pensions to beneficiaries at Pannur village in Marripadu mandal of Prakasam district on Monday (September 1, 2025).
Speaking to the media, he said, “Some people are spreading false propaganda that pensions would be withdrawn. The welfare schemes are being provided to all those who are eligible, irrespective of politics. On the first day of every month, pension worth ₹2,729.66 crore is disbursed to 63 lakh people in the State.”
The Minister said, “It has been 30 years since Nara Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister for the first time. He has brought many administrative reforms in the past 30 years and worked for the welfare of the poor, marginalised and vulnerable sections of the people.”
He further said that the Coalition government is working for the welfare of the people and the development of the State.
