Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed his displeasure over the delay in granting permissions for high-rise buildings and other constructions by the officials concerned.
He was angry over reports that a few officials were deliberately delaying permissions to multi-storied buildings, gated communities, and other structures. The Chief Minister made no secret of his unhappiness over the officials during a meeting to review the progress of ‘BuildNow’ scheme of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
He directed HMDA secretary Ilambarthy to identify those delaying the permissions and surrender their services. He pointed out that several complaints were received against the Irrigation officials and asserted that the Government would not tolerate such things.
Mr. Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to conduct LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) survey on the lakes, tanks and other water bodies with immediate effect. The survey would give comprehensive information relating to these water bodies which in turn would prevent scope for any disputes in future.
In this context, he directed the HMDA secretary to coordinate with HYDRAA and Irrigation officials from time to time and ensure speedy sanction of approvals.
