The Madras Dyslexia Association (MDA) has launched a new remedial toolkit to assist children with learning difficulties in mathematics. The toolkit, named ‘Count on Me’, has been designed to support students with developmental dyscalculia and other math-related challenges, a press release said. Currently, 50 schools across Chennai are using this resource, which is also proving beneficial for all students by making mathematics accessible and engaging.

The kit includes 64 graded, colour-coded booklets covering essential operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with concepts like fractions and decimals. The toolkit uses visual aids and structured exercises to encourage mastery through repetition. In addition to the booklets, it also contains functional evaluation checklists, manipulatives for hands-on learning, an instructional booklet with video guides, and a digital teacher’s e-manual that provides detailed instructions for effective implementation.
