An Abu Dhabi-bound IndiGo flight was forced to return to the Cochin international airport in Kerala early on Saturday (September 6, 2025) due to a technical snag.
The passengers were later flown to Abu Dhabi in another aircraft, a spokesperson for the airport said.
The flight, which departed around 11 p.m. on Friday, returned to Kochi after reportedly being airborne for over two hours. The alternative aircraft departed the airport at 3.33 a.m. on Saturday, the spokesperson said.
There were reportedly over 180 passengers and six crew members onboard the aircraft.
IndiGo was yet to issue any comment on the incident.
