Man booked for inflammatory post on cattle theft

The Bantwal Rural police have booked Narasimha Shetty, a resident of Mani in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, for his alleged inflammatory post regarding theft and slaughter of cattle from the farmland of Geetesh in Perne village on September 4.

The police said that in the video, Mr. Shetty was found talking about the incident in a way that incited communal passion and disturbed peace in the society. The video was circulated on social media, the police said.
