As part of the Andhra Pradesh government’s vision to transform the State into a global tourism hub, the A.P. Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is working closely with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) for implementing Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) in its projects.

Accordingly, the APTDC is going to prepare an action plan to introduce innovative programs like heli-tourism and develop tent cities and home stays for tourism promotion under the aegis of Special Chief Secretary (Housing & Tourism) Ajay Jain and APTDC Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director K. Amrapali.

In order to promote Mission LiFE and provide cost effective services to the people, APTDC has recently entered into an MoU with Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of EESL, for setting up Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) and battery swapping stations across major cities, highway corridors and tourist hotspots.

A press release from the BEE said that under the Mission LiFE, 75 simple yet impactful actions like — from using LED bulbs and solar energy to adopting public transport, EVs, and bicycles — have been identified for integration with AP’s tourism ecosystem.
