Army Southern Command’s General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth called on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday to discuss ways to foster synergy between the military and civil administration in Telangana.
The Chief Minister and the Army Commander held discussions on issues concerning military-civil fusion, internal security, veteran welfare, disaster response and development initiatives. Emphasis was laid on enhancing mechanisms for maintaining law and order, strengthening intelligence-sharing, ensuring preparedness to counter emerging challenges and reinforcing Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) efforts by integrating military and civil resources for swift and effective response and relief efforts.
The commitment to veteran welfare was highlighted as a shared priority, with a focus on initiatives that safeguard the dignity and well-being of ex-servicemen and their families. The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army in rendering valuable assistance during HADR operations and enhanced collaboration with civil administration, said a press release.
