Ministers Kolusu Parthasarathy, Satya Kumar Yadav and Kollu Ravindra said that the Rajaka community will get justice and social, economic and political benefits only under the NDA Alliance government, in the State, which is committed to the uplift of all castes.

The Ministers were speaking at the ‘Rajakula Akanksha Sabha’, organised by MLC Duvvarapu Rama Rao at the VMRDA Children’s Theatre, in the city on Sunday.

Minister Parthasarathy called for unity within the Rajaka community. The services of the Rajaka community were indispensable to society but it was unfortunate that their living conditions were not up to the mark. He opined that a special Act should be brought to provide washermen the right to work in hotels and resorts. He said that the Alliance government had provided ₹47,000 crore as loans to Backward Classes (BCs), and added that other communities were also being extended various benefits.

Minister Satya Kumar Yadav shared his personal connection with the community in his childhood. He said that while the community members were mentally strong, they were economically weak and emphasised on the need for their economic empowerment. He said that loans between ₹10,000 and ₹50,000 could be availed by the community members under the Mudra loan scheme. Special assistance was also being extended under the ‘Viswakarma’ scheme for those pursuing traditional professions.

Minister Ravindra praised MLC Rama Rao for working for the uplift of BCsincluding the establishment of the ‘Most Backward Caste Corporation’. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu appointed BC Sadhikara Committees for the advancement of BCs, he added.

BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav welcomed the formation of a special corporation for the committee. Rajaka Corporation chairperson C. Savithri called for unity within the community to achieve their rights.

Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi shared that education and economic independence helped her in becoming an MLA and added that political power was required for the advancement of the community. She thanked TDP president Chandrababu Naidu for giving her the opportunity.

MLC Rama Rao said that the Alliance government was committed to the welfare of the Rajaka community. MLA s Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, Vishnu Kumar Raju, Vamsikrishna Srinivas, and Etcherla MLA N. Eswara Rao also participated.

District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) chairman Kona Tata Rao announced that loans would be extended to the Rajaka community members through the bank.
