The Kerala government has announced the winners of the State Teachers’ Award 2025.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday (September 8, 2025) to announce the winners of the award in primary, secondary, higher secondary and vocational higher secondary categories, Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty said the awards would be given away at a function at Tagore Theatre in the State capital at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday (September 10, 2025).
Lower primary school
In the lower primary school category, Beena B., primary division teacher from Thiruvananthapuram; Biju George, headmaster from Idukki; Syed Hashim K.V., lower primary teacher from Malappuram; Ullas K.K., lower primary teacher from Alappuzha; and Vanajakumari K., lower primary teacher from Kasaragod; were declared the award winners.
In the upper primary category, Ajitha S., upper primary teacher from Thiruvananthapuram; Sajithkumar V.K., primary division teacher from Kannur; Saijan T.T., upper primary teacher from Thrissur; Ashraf Molayil, upper primary teacher from Malappuram; and Muhammed Mustafa, primary division teacher from Malappuram; have bagged the award.
The winners in the secondary school category are Gireesh P., mathematics teacher from Palakkad; Sagimon V.P., physical education teacher from Kottayam; Vincy Varghese, headmistress from Thrissur; Sajithkumar P.M., Malayalam teacher from Kannur; and Prasand M., high school teacher from Kozhikode.
Higher secondary
The award-winners in the higher secondary category are Kochanujan N., history teacher from Kollam; Sudheer M., Principal from Thrissur; Radheesh Kumar N.G., political science teacher from Alappuzha; and Nowfal A., Principal from Thiruvananthapuram.
The vocational higher secondary category award winners are Biju K.S., chemistry teacher from Ernakulam; Shiny Joseph, vocational teacher from Pathanamthitta; and Shyjith B.T., vocational teacher from Kollam.
The Prof. Joseph Mundassery Memorial Literary Awards were also announced on the occasion. The award for creative literature goes to T.K. Anilkumar of Kannur for Moyaram 1948; for scientific literature to Prakashan Karivallur of Kasaragod for the book Cinemakatha; and for children’s literature to Sudha Thekkemadhom of Palakkad for Sword Hunter.
