Madanapalle District Sadhana Samithi activists conducted a special meeting on Monday (September 08, 2025) at a private function hall in the area. The meeting brought together leaders and participants who have been campaigning for the creation of Madanapalle district.
The activists said that members of various forums had waged a determined struggle pressing for district status for Madanapalle for nearly two years during the previous government. They said that the present coalition government, responding to these efforts, had assured that the demand would be considered positively.
In the backdrop of reports over district reorganisation in Rajampet and Rayachoti of the present Annamayya district, the leaders urged the government to come out with an official announcement at the earliest on the creation of ‘Madanapalle district’. They said a detailed report would soon be submitted to the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
The meeting also passed a resolution seeking the withdrawal of cases filed against Sadhana activists during the earlier regime, terming them politically motivated. The leaders resolved that a memorandum would be prepared and submitted to the government to ensure that Madanapalle’s case for district status is formally recognised in the reorganisation process.
Addressing the gathering, the Jana Sena Party’s representative Ramdas expressed confidence that the government was favourably inclined towards the demand for district status to Madanapalle. He appealed to the people of the Madanapalle revenue division to support the cause by submitting constructive suggestions and petitions to strengthen the case before the Cabinet.
