Delhi Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh on Monday conducted a meeting with stakeholders from the liquor industry to formulate a new excise policy for the national capital.

Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Home Minister Ashish Sood and senior Excise Department officials were present at the meeting. The government has now started taking feedback from stakeholders to come up with a “socially responsible” policy, an official said.

The Ministers are a part of a committee formed by CM Rekha Gupta to formulate a “transparent” policy. Ms. Gupta said the policies in neighbouring States will be studied.
