Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (June 7, 2025) greeted people on the occasion of Eid ul-Azha.
Mr. Modi said on X, “Best wishes on Eid ul-Adha. May this occasion inspire harmony and strengthen the fabric of peace in our society. Wishing everyone good health and prosperity.”
One of the main Islamic festivals, it commemorates the willingness of Abraham, considered a prophet by Abrahamic religions, to sacrifice his son to obey the command of God.
Similarly, Ministers and leaders across political parties have extended their greetings to Muslims on the occasion.
Meanwhile, scores of devotees thronged the historic Jama Masjid on Saturday morning to offer prayers and celebrate Eid al-Adha. Dressed in traditional attire, worshippers came together in a spirit of devotion, unity, and celebration, marking one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar.
