The Chairman of the Karnataka State Bioenergy Development Board (KSBDB) S.E. Sudheendra visited the Bioenergy Research Information and Demonstration Centre (BRIDC) at PES College of Engineering in Mandya on Monday.
Mr. Sudheendra and his team engaged in detailed discussions with vice-principal Vinay S. and co-ordinator of BRIDC Rupesh.
“The chairman lauded the centre’s commendable efforts in advancing bioenergy research and its practical demonstration initiatives. He highlighted the potential of such centers in addressing sustainable energy needs and proposed future directions to enhance its scope and impact,” said a statement.
Mr. Sudheendra recommended that short-term training on biofuels be conducted for students and organise biofuel awareness programmes at the district level. A biofuel activity report for the financial year 2024-25 was presented to the chairman during the visit, the statement added.
