Four persons travelling in a car on Thanjavur-Vikiravandi Road near Thanjavur were injured as the vehicle reportedly rammed the parapet of the bridge across the Vennar on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, the injured – Kalaiselvi, Swetha, Deepan Hari and Krithish – were travelling to Erode from Mayiladuthurai and the car was driven by Deepan Hari, when the accident took place. All the injured were rushed to a private hospital at Thanjavur and the Thanjavur taluk police have registered a case and are investigating.
Another person, Raghu Narayanan, who also travelled in the car, escaped unhurt, the police said.
