Three-day expo of building material in Dharwad starting tomorrow

A three-day exhibition of building material will be held at Karnatak College Grounds in Dharwad from Friday.

Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (ACCE) is organising the exposition in association with Turbo Steels.

President of the Dharwad chapter of ACCE local Sunil Bagewadi told presspersons in Dharwad on Wednesday said that the event will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There was no entry fee.

In all, there will be 66 stalls showcasing products and technologies from various reputed companies.

Cement mixer, bathroom and toilet fittings, windows panes, rainwater harvesting, doors from wood and unbreakable plastic, eco-friendly sand, steel products, pvc pipes, waterproof roofing, water supply accessories and other products will be on display at the exposition, he said.

MLA Arvind Bellad will inaugurate the expo at 11 a.m. on Friday.

GM (Marketing) of Turbo Steels Shivaputrappa and Vice-Chancellor of Karnatak University A.M. Khan are special invitees for the inaugural ceremony.

Mr. Sunil said that every day, there will be cultural programmes from 6 p.m. by students of Pandit Puttaraj Gavai Trust and Kala Spandana.

The concluding ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday where Chairman of Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti will make the concluding remarks.
