A.P. to hold five regional investment meets ahead of Partnership Summit in November

Andhra Pradesh will organise five regional investment conferences between October 7 and 26 as a prelude to the CII Partnership Summit-2026 in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Thursday.

Reviewing preparations on Thursday, Mr. Naidu directed officials to use the conferences to attract investments, facilitate MoUs and highlight the investment potential of each region. He said the main summit should go beyond signing MoUs and inspire entrepreneurs while strengthening the State’s branding.

The conferences will be held in Visakhapatnam (October 7), Kakinada (October 12), Guntur (October 16), Anantapur (October 23) and Tirupati (October 26). Their focus areas will include AI and IT, semiconductors, maritime and shipbuilding, green hydrogen, urban infrastructure, aerospace and defence, automotive, tourism, electronics manufacturing and advanced materials.

Mr. Naidu asked officials to organise MSME showcases, introduce a “Shark Tank”-style initiative for startups and link Ratan Tata Innovation Hubs with the regional conferences. He also called for entrepreneurship-related lessons from Class VII and MSME parks in another 30 Assembly constituencies.

The government has set a target of converting 80% of investment proposals by October-end and grounding 75% of the converted projects.

Officials said MoUs had been signed for 714 projects involving ₹22.57 lakh crore investment since June 2024. Of these, 473 projects worth ₹16.6 lakh crore were converted and 247 grounded.

Domestic roadshows have been held in Chennai, Coimbatore and Bengaluru, with further programmes planned in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai. International roadshows have been held in Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan, and scheduled in Sweden, Japan and China.

Eleven Ministers, 26 speakers and delegates from 21 countries have so far confirmed their participation in the summit being held with the theme, “Trade, Technology, Trust, Thought Leadership”. A curtain-raiser will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on October 8.
