A one-day State-level workshop on Academic Bank of Credits – Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) credit seeding was conducted at Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) on Wednesday.
The programme was jointly organised by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), National Academic Depository (NAD), and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Addressing the gathering, VSU Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasa Rao said that the APAAR system enables the secure digital storage of students’ academic credits. He emphasised that the initiative would effectively address issues such as discontinuation of education and provide strong academic support for students’ future careers.
Speaking on the occasion, APSCHE Vice-Chairperson K. Ratna Sheela Mani said that the APAAR system serves as the backbone of the Multiple Entry–Exit system proposed under the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. She noted that the APAAR would play a vital role in enhancing transparency, coordination, and efficiency among higher education institutions across the State.
