Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi, was poised to take the leadership role again among the units of the public sector major by executing a record number of thermal power projects for various public and private utilities across the country, its Executive Director S.Prabhakar said here on Monday.
Addressing employees during the Republic Day celebration, Mr. Prabhakar said that BHEL, Tiruchi was fully geared up to contribute to the country’s ambitious vision ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ with enhanced focus on energy security, infrastructure, technological capability and sustainable growth.
While the strong order book was a matter of pride, the real challenge before the company was adherence to stipulated delivery schedules and increase its revenue and profitability, he observed.
Reiterating the importance of efficiency in all functions through cost optimisation, quality excellence and reduced cycle time, Mr Prabhakar said that there was an urgent need for digitalisation, data-driven decision-making and adoption of advanced manufacturing practices to remain competitive in an increasingly technology-driven global environment.
Earlier, Mr. Prabhakar unfurled the national flag and took the salute at a ceremonial march past presented by BHEL Security and Fire service personnel, Home Guards, National Cadet Corps and Campus School Students. He presented 128 gold and 140 silver medals for outstanding contributions of employees during 2025.
