Collector warns action against buses not operating from Solar Bus Terminal

With private buses refusing to operate from the newly established Solar Bus Terminal, Collector S. Kandasamy has warned that police and Transport Department officials have been directed to take action against errant bus operators.

The new terminal, established near Solar to ease traffic congestion in Erode city, was inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on November 26. It serves as the central hub for buses to towns and cities including Vellakovil, Kodumudi, Karur, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Thanjavur, Karaikal, Tiruchendur, Nagapattinam, Rameswaram, Kanyakumari, and Nagercoil.

The Collector said officials have emphasised that all buses must operate strictly from the new terminal. Additionally, feeder bus services have been arranged to connect passengers from the Erode Central Bus Station to the Solar Bus Terminal. He urged bus operators to comply with the guidelines to ensure smooth and safe transit for the public.
